Modernizations to this campus included the complete replacement of turf, landscaping and play areas, underground utility infrastructure, and implementation of the latest storm-water reduction strategies. The project also included the addition of 11,700 sf of multi-use and kindergarten rooms. The team created one of the first Net Zero Energy/Emissions (NZEE) public school buildings in California, navigating permitting while staying within a tight budget. With their success, the district’s energy costs were reduced by 60%. Today, the campus attracts school leaders and facilities planners from around the state to see its innovative features.
